La Brasserie à Vapeur
Our story

A village brewery, saved in 1984

At the start of the last century, every village had its farm-malthouse-brewery: Belgium counted 3,387 breweries in 1907. Founded in 1785 and modernised in 1895, the old Biset brewery in Pipaix could have disappeared like so many others.

In 1984, a passionate young couple, Sittelle and Jean-Louis, bought it. Two months later, the chimney was smoking, the steam engine was turning and the wort was flowing again.

Even today, all our beers are brewed with steam, with the utmost respect for tradition and quality ingredients. Unfiltered and conditioned in the bottle or keg, they have a unique, authentic taste.
